IAT Employee Serves Local Girl Scouts
Jen McCorkle, CT Impact Account Manager, spent her weekends in March laboring along with her daughter and other Girl Scouts from Troop 441 in their annual cookie drive, selling 9,384 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies®.
The troop — comprised of 18 girls from 8 to 12 years of age — well exceeded their troop goal to sell 7,200 boxes, with individual goals ranging from 100 boxes to 1,000 boxes. For three consecutive weekends, Girl Scouts and family members sold cookies from booths by businesses scattered throughout the valley.
“Selling cookies and being as involved as I was this year was a blast. It gave me a whole new appreciation for the Girl Scouts,” Jen said. “We sold cookies through all kinds of weather and did what we could to bring in customers. The girls worked harder than you can imagine to complete their goals.”
From the cookie sales, the troop raised more than $300 for the Christmas Box House, a Utah-based international charity aimed at improving children’s quality of life and preventing child abuse.
